This is an exciting and rare opportunity for an experienced IT Engineer with solid PC building skills to join a world renowned media company based in Pinewood Studios in Ivor (Slough / Uxbridge area). This role is paying up to £28,000 and due to the nature of the work will be purely office based.
My client location is NOT accessible via public transport, so the successful candidate MUST have a full UK license and own transport.
As an experienced IT Support Analyst or IT Engineer, you will have a solid background in Windows / MS based PC’s, operating systems, and networks. Although full training will be provided, you will have a good background & understanding of PC hardware, this will include being able to:
- Disassemble and reassemble a PC. Hardware is functionally equivalent to high-end gaming machines
- Undergo hardware maintenance e.g. applying fresh thermal paste, cleaning out AIO radiators with compressed air, cable management
- Troubleshoot hardware issues methodically e.g. identify system beep codes, research BIOS LCD codes, figure out through systematic investigation which hardware part is faulty/failed
- Installing hardware in PCs and imaging them e.g. installing drives, applying system images and then Bitlocker drives
My client is a very highly reputable media organisation going through continued growth and expansion. Due to their work within the film & television sector, they are in need of over 100 new PC’s to be built to a new high upgrade spec to manage their media processing software.
Although this is predominantly a PC build / PC Hardware Engineer role, it would also be beneficial to have an understanding or background in supporting Windows 10, Office 365, Active Directory, and Windows Servers.
