The Ashdown Group has been engaged to find an IT Support Specialist to join a well-established and very successful electronics company based near Swindon & Newbury.
This is a standalone role to provide support for all networked PC's and Servers in a Microsoft Windows Environment. The successful individual will need to be happy to troubleshoot all issues from 1st to 3rd line and have a flexible approach to their work.
Alongside the day to day support of the office environment, you will provide remote support to individuals who may be working from home.
To be considered you need skills in all or most of the below:
- MS Office Suite inc. Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Active Directory, Group Policy & Exchange Server
- Virtualisation – VMware, Hyper-V, VPN or similar
- DHCP & DNS
- Networking
- Printer support
- SQL
Any experience with SAP would strongly support your application. However, for bugs and upgrades, this can be escalated to the SAP external provider.
In addition, you will help to manage the CRM database and data links to 3rd party systems. You will design and maintain the reporting to assist accounts and sales to help with the decision making process. You do not need to have prior experience doing this but you do need to have a willingness to learn and be happy for this to be part of your ongoing responsibilities.
This is a permanent position offering a starting salary of up to £35,000 per annum dependent on the depth of relevant skills and experience. When applying for this role, please ensure all relevant technical experience is clearly stated on a WORD copy of your CV.
