A standout opportunity for a strong 1st/2nd Line Support analyst has arisen with a highly regarded and successful UK based events agency with offices in SE1.


This is a standalone and highly visible role within the business, but also offers the support of an external MSP for escalating difficult or unresolved issues. The successful candidate will provide 1st, 2nd and some 3rd line support across software, hardware and peripherals. Until now, the business has simply used an outsourced IT provider, but with consistent growth they have now reached the point of wanting to secure their own in-house IT presence.  This means you will be instrumental in the success of the function, recommending improvements, with the goal to ultimately bring the IT in house completely.


This is a really varied role, in addition to your completing your day to day support tickets, you will have the opportunity to work across an interesting mix of technologies and develop knowledge and skills across the entire environment. You will also have the chance to take sole responsibility for some small projects yourself and be in charge of orchestrating the growth of the function.


Day to day responsibilities will include:


-Logging all issues using the ticketing system

-Setting up and troubleshooting software and hardware

-Conducting basic administration of Windows Servers

-Supporting and managing the Microsoft Office 365

-Troubleshooting and maintaining the telephony

-Supporting the VPN

-Running the software installs and updates

-Supporting with the overall strategy and development of the IT function, having an input in the budgeting and cost management

-Supporting Senior Management with creating PowerPoint presentations.


This is an excellent opportunity to join a buzzing environment and would suit an outgoing, confident communicator with a friendly disposition who has worked in hands on environment either in stand-alone capacity or small team. Strong 1st - 2nd line support skills within a Windows environment and supporting Office 365 are also essential. Although not essential to securing the role, any experience with creating PowerPoint presentations in a commercial setting would be incredibly beneficial to your application.


The working hours for this role are; Monday - Friday 9:00 – 5.30 and offer 25 days holiday and a starting salary of up to £30,000, depending on skills and experience. If you feel you have the experience, skills and ambition to join this driven and high performing team, then please do apply.
