IT Manager/ Support Engineer

We are currently seeking an IT Manager/3rd  Line Support Engineer to join a very prestigious literary organisation. This role would be perfect for someone looking for a hands-on role with a real mix of operational support, infrastructure management and project work. Working in a team of four you will play a vital role in supporting a small team of experts based in London and New York, within an exciting and growing sector.

The position is offered on a hybrid basis, with three days based across their two sites in West London and two days remote.

Working closely with the Head of IT. you will be the main point of escalation for all 2nd /3rd line escalated queries for 70 users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, whilst supporting and mentoring junior IT staff. You will be driving business improvement through technology change and playing a pivotal role in projects, including a migration to Azure cloud, as well as overseeing the implementation of a new CRM systems.

You will have previous experience in driving transformation projects, as you will be supporting in overseeing the transition of on-prem infrastructure and services to MS Azure. Designing and deploying secure, scalable, and resilient Azure cloud solutions and developing strategies and tools for deploying, monitoring, and managing Azure applications and services.

Responsible for networking and automation you will have hands-on experience with networking concepts, including VLANs, firewalls, routing and networking configurations. Using your automation tool skills, you will implement and automate processes as well as managing Azure AD integrations across all systems including Office 365 and on-premise servers.

The ideal candidate will:

 

  • Previous experience of providing 2/3rd line support.
  • Degree educated in Computer Science or IT related field
  • Comfortable in training/mentoring team members
  • Confident supporting Microsoft Technologies, Office 365 Administration
  • Have solid experience in Azure cloud design, migration, and support.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure AD integration and hybrid environments
  • Knowledge of automation tools e.g. PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI
  • Solid with Networking including VLANs, firewalls, and routing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Great communicator and team player
