A fantastic role for a Head of IT who will be a key member of the senior management team and will oversee the management of the IT department (including 3rd parties) in order to ensure that the business is supported - providing a high quality of service.
It is a 500-person business with five sites and you will be managing a team of five.
You will be responsible for developing & implementing the IT strategy and leading key digital projects that will sit across all business-as-usual activity.
The team maintains and develops a multi-faceted infrastructure; primarily physical and virtualised with some cloud-based services, with an in-house development team writing bespoke software internal to the business.
You should be highly experienced in working with Windows environment and be able to be hands-on when required.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Executive and senior management team to define and implement the medium and long-term IT Strategy
- Ownership and oversight of all IT architecture within the business
- Management and ownership of all IT projects and Programmes
- Ownership and management of all key 3rd party IT relationships within the business
- Management of all Cyber security requirements in the business
- Communicating complex IT issues and programmes at all levels via Exec/Board reports that demonstrate progress across all IT areas
- Understanding and articulating what information is relevant at different levels – Senior Management Team & Executive Team
- Provide strategic guidance, project/programme support whilst ensuring change is delivered on time and within budget
- Work with the wider management team and Executive Team to ensure there is a clear understanding of business priorities
Desirable experience:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment and working with IT and OT systems
- D365 knowledge
- Business Analysis experience or qualification
- Software Development management experience – ideally in an Agile environment
- Networking experience
- C# / Delphi / .Net knowledge
