IT Manager - remote working
A well established business based in Colchester, Essex is looking for an experienced IT Manager to lead the develop and implementation of their IT strategy.
Please note – office are based in Colchester but remote working is offered.
This is a hands on IT Manager for a well established SME (circa 100 users). The ideal candidate will come from a support back ground (2nd and 3rd line) within a Windows environment.
Key responsibilities of this IT Manager will include:
Driving continuous improvement across all business systems
Implementing, supporting and managing all IT systems and suppliers to ensure the network is available, efficient and secure
Leadership and management of a small IT team to maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, business applications, servers, network equipment, cloud subscriptions and services, email systems, laptops, desktops, telephony, software and IT related hardware
Managing and overseeing the IT helpdesk – providing an escalation point where appropriate
Define and implement the IT strategy in line with the company strategic plan and goals
Apply a model of continuous service improvement reviewing current process, technologies and vendors to identify areas of improvement or change
The ideal candidate will have gained the following relevant experience:
Wide and varied experience in businesses with small to medium size IT functions
Previous man management experience
Substantial experience and management of a support helpdesk and ticket system
The salary on offer for this role is circa £45,000 plus benefits.
