Incident Manager- City of London
£45,000 plus bonus

A global leader operating within financial trading has a rare opportunity for an Incident Manager to join their large technical IT team based in the City of London. As part of the Service Management team, you will be responsible for managing incidents and changes raised by external clients as well as internal staff.
 
This role would suit a bright and motivated Incident Manager, Application Support Analyst, Helpdesk Analyst, Service Desk Analyst, IT Technician or IT Support Analyst that has a real interest in the financial services industry sector.
 
To be suitable for this role you MUST have:
- A background in service/incident management and able to take ownership of issues raised by all levels of staff and external clients
- Be analytical in your approach and resolve a range of issues ranging from basic to more complex resolutions
- Interest in financial services and experience with trading platforms/financial services applications & software is ideal but not essential
- Basic SQL knowledge (desirable)
- ITIL processes
- Experience of working in a global environment
 
Training on specific bespoke software is provided. Candidates could potentially come from a service desk, application support or project management background; with an interest in financial services software, financial software products, applications, trading platforms etc.
 
This is a truly exciting opportunity for a motivated technology enthusiast to join an experienced IT department with genuine long term career progression opportunities. As part of the service management team you will gain great exposure to the business and have the opportunity to liaise with the trading department, Developers, QA’s etc. We are looking for a bright, articulate candidate, who is eager to learn, is inquisitive and able to demonstrate the ability to take complete ownership of issue resolution. Although this is a technical role, you should also have the ability to liaise with people on a non-technical level.
 
Please note this role will involve working shifts between 7am and 6pm. Shifts will also include an occasional out of hours rotation during the week & weekend (Blackberry will be provided). Offices are based in the City area close to Bank, Moorgate & Cannon Street stations.
 
As my client operates within the financial services sector, a DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.
 
This is a permanent role offering a basic salary of up to £45,000 per annum + bonus and benefits dependent on relevant skills and experience.
