A well-established charity based near Lewisham in South East London (SE3), is seeking a detail-oriented, diligent, and friendly HR Manager to join their expanding team on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract, with a very strong chance of the role going permanent!
This position will start with 4 days onsite and 1 day working from home, with a view to change this to 2 days working from home once probation has passed.
Reporting to the Head of HR, in this position you will be responsible for all matters relating to employee relations such as; disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, and sickness. You will also be involved in the full recruitment life-cycle such as on-boarding and off-boarding, and conducting interviews. Along with this, you will be instrumental in updating and creating key policies and processes. You will support learning and development within the organisation and assist with change management.
You will be required to liaise with senior staff members and key stakeholders to ensure that any and all HR matters are resolved proactively and effectively. You will also have HR Officers and an HR Apprentice reporting directly to you for this role, so any prior management or support experience would be viewed favourably.
To be considered for this role, you must have proven HR experience including working with matters relating to employee relations, recruitment, learning, and development as well as helping to devise HR policies and processes. CIPD qualifications are not essential but are definitely desirable and would be highly advantageous to your application.
