Director of People/Head of HR - National Charity
Fully remote, salary up to £65,000 plus 28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
We are pleased to be working with a national charity who are looking to add an HR Director to their senior management team. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of an HR function within a fast growing not for profit organisation who are currently close to 400 employees in size with genuine plans to grow beyond 1000 in the coming years.
Duties will include:
- Overseeing and managing the HR team consisting of BP's, HR Administrators and a learning and development team
- Support and own the transition and expansion of the organisation including TUPE
- Ensuring policies and procedures are designed to get the best out of the organisations people
- Support and coach management into working correctly and efficiently
- Reporting at Director level within the senior leadership team
- Budget management
- Being accountable for the delivery of an effective HR function
- Leading on organisational objectives
- Ensure the development and progression of the team
- Create and facilitate effective internal communications
- Create and implement HR targets in line with organisational objectives
- Define HR projects
- Advise on employment law
- Develop strategies for employee engagement, performance management and EDI
- Occasional travel if/when required
To be considered suitable you will need to have the following skills/experience:
- Previous experience as a Director of People/HR Director or the ability to step into a Director level role
- Exposure to leading an HR function within an expanding organisation
- HR team management
- Strong management coaching experience
- Ability to understand organisational requirements and align HR strategy to support this
- Strong stakeholder management experience
