Hybrid working - £50,000 per annum plus benefits 

A hugely successful and well-established global organisation that operates within the manufacturing and distribution sector are looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join their HR team. This role reports to the Director of HR and the main focus is to maintain H&S compliance according to relevant legislation across the business.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated Health and Safety professional to lead the Health and Safety team to promote a positive safety culture, drive continuous improvement and maintain Health and Safety as the Company’s number one priority.


As Health and Safety Manager you will be responsible for managing a small team and maintaining accreditation to OHSAS:18001 Health and Safety Management Systems; you will work to review this organisations H&S policy and ensure it is delivered within the relevant scope of the OH&S management system. You will ensure the emergency and response processes are sufficiently defined; periodically testing and reviewing the procedures where necessary. Further to this you will perform route cause analysis for all reported accidents, ensuring the inclusion of trend identification and all necessary legislative administration. You will also be responsible for conducting full compliance audits and ensuring all areas of the business are suitably risk assessed and prioritised accordingly.

To be suitable for this role you will be NEBOSH certified and have previously worked in the manufacturing or distribution sector. You will have extensive knowledge and experience of conducting various risk assessments coupled with legal awareness of relevant HSE legislation and a working knowledge of 18001, 14001 or equivalent management systems. The ideal candidate will be commercially aware with strong project management skills.  You will also enjoy building strong working relationships with key colleagues and stakeholders and will have a real passion for developing the culture of Health and Safety within the organisation.  

The salary on offer for this role is up to £50,000 basic depending on experience. This role is based in Warwickshire and is easily commutable from Coventry, Nuneaton, Leamington Spa, Rugby, Daventry, Hinckley, Northampton, Leicester, Market Harborough and the surrounding areas.
