Head of Technology - Hybrid/remote

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technology Lead to join an award winning early years educational group in a newly created role   This is a fast growing PE backed organisation who, through acquisition, are steadily securing their place amongst the top ranked in their field.  if you are an IT professional with outstanding leadership skills, who has experience of working in a multi-site setting this could be the ideal role for you. The position is being offered with very flexible hybrid working, with the occasional requirement to work from their offices in Central London. 

In this new created role you will have full responsibility for managing the technology estate and will have demonstrable expertise in the administration and support of Office 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, networking and Azure/AWS.  You will create and build out a team of IT professionals to support the company’s growing network of users.

As Head of Technology, you will manage the day-to-day delivery of IT support services by 3rd parties and will work on a range of interesting projects.  You will oversee all networking for their existing multi-site operations, as well as managing the integration of systems and infrastructure for newly acquired sites and standardise IT policies across all branches. As the company’s Data Protection Lead you will manage all areas of GDPR/compliance, conducting regular audits and risk assessments.

Collaborating with the Director of Infrastructure you will lead on any new IT projects, using your commercial and technical expertise to create innovative solutions to improve efficiencies and keep on top of industry trends.

The ideal candidate will have.

  • Previous experience in a senior IT Lead role within a multi-site setting.
  • Degree/qualification in IT or Computer Science/ Prince 2 qualification desirable
  • Confident in all areas of governance, IT compliance and security practices
  • Natural analytical thinker.
  • Ability to perform in fast paced and time critical settings.
  • First class communication skills
