Head of People – 9 month contract - £370 p/d
A well established organisation based in Kettering are looking for a Head of People or Head of HR to join them on an initial 9 month contract. Please note – this role offers hybrid working with a mix of home and in the office working.
As the Head of People you will provide professional leadership and role modelling for all people related matters within the organisation; providing professional strategic and operational support as appropriate for the full employee lifecycle including Talent Attraction, Recruitment and Retention, Employee engagement / Employee Relations, Occupational Health and wellbeing, Learning and Development, workforce planning and resource management. Leading a team of capable HR Business Partners you will work to develop and implement a fit for purpose people strategy aligning to wider business objectives ensuring best practice is reflected.

As the Head of HR you will also ensure the delivery of effective professional HR advice and guidance to the organisation; working with the leadership team to create a culture that reflects the organisations values.
Key focus areas for this Head of HR role will include:
Delivery of activities and services relating to people and workforce management across the organisation in line with agreed plans and KPIs linked to organisational business plans and strategy.
To agree and manage people financial budgets.
To act as the Head of Profession for our People function; advise, manage and develop all colleagues engaged in HR roles to ensure that the provision of a professional, effective and business-focused enabling function.
Produce management reports for the Executive Team and other management/governance committees as appropriate, on matters relating to people enabling evidence-based decision making To maintain a thorough understanding of current and developing employment legislation and landscape, ensuring we are well briefed on both Human Resources practice and its practical application.
Ensure that Human Resources policies and procedures and contractual documents are fully compliant with legislative requirements reflect our approach and values to leading, managing, and engaging our employees.
Provide a fit for purpose approach to reward and recognition including our job family structures, job evaluation and external market analysis/ benchmarking including regular gender pay and equal pay audits.
The idea candidate will be a personable, engaging and passionate People Manager with a track record of operating at a Head of People or Senior HR role. You will be CIPD qualified with a real passion for people and enhancing workplace cultures.
This role is a 9 month contract and offering a rate of £370 per day.
