Head of Marketing - £80,000 - £120,000 DOE plus bonus - 4 days in the office
The company is embarking on a transformative journey towards significant growth in the next two to five years. Their focus will be on Tier 1 clients and expanding their international presence. To achieve this growth, they recognize the need for a more sophisticated and professional marketing approach to their brand management and strategy, encompassing the full marketing mix including events and public relations. This new role is crucial in spearheading and driving these efforts within the company.
The responsibilities of this role include overseeing branding, marketing strategy, and implementing the company's vision. In the current fiscal year, the main focus will be on upgrading the marketing strategy and brand identity to establish the business as a premium brand. The Head of Marketing will also seek out branding partners to support this objective. Working closely with the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), Sales function, and other C-suite leaders, they will develop a brand that positions the business for success in new international markets, starting with Europe in the first year and then expanding to North America and APAC in subsequent years. Additionally, they will develop, implement, and promote a new brand strategy and positioning to ensure company-wide engagement.
Given the collaborative and matrixed nature of marketing in the company, the Head of Marketing will act as the champion and custodian of the brand's essence, including its position, tone, and voice. This responsibility extends not only to the UK but also to the company's international footprint, with necessary adjustments made to suit local markets. The role also entails working closely with Sales and Discipline leaders to ensure global strategy and brand alignment, embed best practices across the group, and define region-specific approaches. It will also involve exploring and establishing innovative and productive partnerships with third parties, including sponsorships when appropriate.
The Head of Marketing will collaborate with the CRM, Digital Media, and Content Creation teams to enhance and enrich content, ensure website alignment with brand principles and strategies, and explore and advocate for innovative marketing media and creative ideas, particularly in the digital, experiential, and innovation realms.
Additionally, the role includes responsibilities such as stakeholder relationship development, especially with C-suite executives, managing directors, and the OLT team; team leadership and development; budgeting; managing by metrics; and overseeing key skills and experiences required for the position, including 10+ years of brand/marketing experience, leading major rebranding programs across different regions, advanced agency management knowledge, experience managing design solutions and brand management systems at scale, research and analysis skills related to creative development and brand awareness tracking, strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, business acumen, intelligence, energy, resilience, self-awareness, flexibility, excellent communication and presentation skills, organizational skills, strong program management skills, and the ability to lead, manage, and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
The team initially consists of 3-4 direct reports, but it is expected to grow over time as per the marketing strategy devised by the Head of Marketing.
