Our client, a leading organisation within the training sector, are seeking a innovative and strategic Head of IT and Digital to lead and shape their IT and digital transformation strategy.
As Head of IT and Digital, you will have overall responsibility for the strategic management of the organisation's technical functions including IT architecture, security, digital transformation, software applications, infrastructure and systems that support all users and services. The role is offered on a hybrid basis with two days based at the company’s offices in Lancaster.
The successful candidate will have solid previous experience of managing an IT department and in addition a very high degree of technical knowledge will have the ability to lead and influence. Demonstrable knowledge and experience of managing Microsoft based platforms is essential to include Office 365, Azure, IN Tune, Active Directory, SQL.
You will be responsible for designing, implementing and the support of the entire IT function to meet the needs and support the business, this includes working with and managing suppliers, strategic leadership and driving the adoption of automation and AI solutions to enhance decision-making and streamlining business processes. As well as ensuring the security policy is robust and ensuring projects are delivered on time.
Key responsibilities
- Solid experience of managing all aspects of IT operations, including infrastructure, networking, applications, software development, and cyber security.
- Skilled in creating and rolling out IT strategies that align with business needs.
- Strong project management abilities, with a background in successfully delivering complex IT projects.
- Experienced in leading teams, managing budgets, and working closely with suppliers to get results.
- Solid technical knowledge of Microsoft environments, including Microsoft 365, Azure, SQL Server, and Active Directory.
- Well-organised with clear communication skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong focus on problem-solving and driving both technical and cultural improvements.
This role is offering a salary of £64,473 per annum, with a very generous benefits package including 29days holiday plus bank holidays, matched pension and flexible benefits.
