Head of IT

A multinational technology business is looking for an accomplished IT Services Manager to join its team based in the docklands area of East London. Please note the organisation embraces flexibility so you will be able to work from home 2 days per week.

In this role of significant responsibility, you will manage a cutting-edge Cloud, DevOps, IP Network environment for a mobile network operator managing an international team of 15 and a £multi-million-pound budget.

You will shape, develop and manage the IT infrastructure strategy ensuring that a highly effective support service is provided to the business. The team’s primary function is to install, maintain, and implement all infrastructure-based systems, both On Premise and Cloud Hosted. You will oversee IP network, platform and database services and work with the senior IT leadership team to define public cloud continuous improvement strategies, data centre consolidation, and infrastructure automation opportunities.

In order to be suitable for this role you must have:

• A proven record of successfully managing teams, including goal setting and performance management

• Experience in public cloud cost optimisation techniques

• Experience of Data Centre management and consolidation strategies

• Experience of private / public cloud hosted environments

• Experience in ‘On Premise to Cloud’ migrations

• Experience in automated infrastructure services management.

• Experience working in a DevOps / Platform Engineering environment
