Head of Data Value / Governance - Global Insurance Company
Remote/hybrid working available providing you can visit either the London or Birmingham office a few occasions a month
Salary up to £120,000 plus 20% bonus and 10% pension
A global insurer is looking for a Head of Data who has experience in owning and delivering value through data. The organisation are embarking on a large data modernisation programme spanning the next three years which will include heavy investment in cloud and streaming technologies. This role will hold a number of responsibilities including:
- Developing a Centre of Excellence across data governance and data quality products and services
- Establishing a culture of data value across the organisation
- Developing Data Value Management function aligned to objectives
- Ensuring the implementation of Master Data Management (MDM) processes and tools
- Owning standards and policies for data governance, data policy and data deficiency
- Act as a Thought Leader for data
- Manage a growing data team geared towards unlocking value for the organisation
To be considered suitable you will need the following skills and experience:
- Previous leadership experience within a data focused role
- Entrepreneurial drive towards understanding the value and potential of data
- Strong understanding of data quality and governance
- Strong team and man management skills
- Ability to pioneer new technology
- Proven experience of developing governance processes and using automation where possible
- Experience of developing a Data Governance Framework and Data Quality Management service
