A well-established organization located in the Chesterfield area is in search of an enthusiastic and dedicated Graduate Mobile Service Desk Technician to join their team on a permanent basis! This opportunity is tailored for recent graduates and offers outstanding benefits, including 30 days of annual leave plus bank holidays. The role comes with flexible working hours, allowing for shifts anytime between 8 am and 6 pm, within a 37.5-hour workweek.
Working independently and reporting directly to the Senior Service Desk Technician, you will play a vital role as the initial point of contact for IT-related inquiries, providing first and second-line support to around 1,200 end-users across three client sites. Occasionally, you may also assist staff members at their homes. You'll have approximately one day a week dedicated to phone coverage, along with responsibilities for maintaining and generating reports from the incident management and change systems. This role also offers the opportunity to engage with ongoing and exciting IT projects. You'll be equipped with a mobile van for site visits, making a full and clean U.K. driving license a prerequisite.
To be eligible, you should possess prior experience in first-line support, gained through roles or apprenticeships, computing degrees, or volunteering. Familiarity with Windows, Office 365, Active Directory, and basic networking knowledge is essential. A background in customer service would be highly beneficial. Additional qualifications like CompTIA, CCNA, or ITIL will enhance your application.
