A well-established corporation is looking for a personable, articulate and highly numerate IT graduate with a passion for development to join its team, based in the City of London.
In order to be considered for this role, you must have an aptitude for analytical thinking and excellent interpersonal skills, coupled with a good University degree (ideally in Computer Science or a related subject) and a desire to build a career in web development. Please note, commercial experience is not required for this particular position, however, a placement year in industry may be advantageous to your application, but is not a prerequisite.
You will primarily utilise the LAMP (PHP, MySQL, Linux) stack in this role, along with Linux and Java technologies. Please note that experience with PHP is not essential, the most important thing is your desire and motivation to be in a development role and to build a career.
Working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, you will build high performance and aesthetically pleasing websites and applications. You will be passionate about developing great code and enjoy working in a collaborative team where innovative thinking is encouraged. You will develop content management systems and supporting databases, customise market-leading frameworks and research and evaluate new web technologies. You will also provide sample code, wireframes, site maps and templates for proposals
