An exciting start up based in South London is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Full Stack Developer to focus primarily on their front end architecture with a desire to make the backend robust and secure as well. The role is to act as the more experienced Developer in their small team, and this unique opportunity offers Managerial/Development Lead opportunities going forward.
Responsibilities include:
  • Creating website product pages, navigation, landing pages, and blogs within the WordPress environment
  • Managing the end-to-end life cycle for the production of software and applications
  • Implementing end to end cloud architectural tools from AWS / Azure or GCP to influence the technical strategy for the team.
  • Communicating and identifying best practices for sending and receiving http requests from front end, defining CORS policies, architecting secure and reliable Web Applications, protecting against OWASP top 10 threats
  • Managing WordPress plugins and themes
  • Scaling Single Threaded applications to multi-threaded apps. Implementing web-sockets in Node.js, and messaging systems like Rabbit MQ
  • Running performance tests and solve issues as they appear
  • You’ll have proficiency working with DBMS technology, including SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB and MySQL and caching mechanisms such as Redis, Memcached and Varnish
  • You will promote best practices in terms of TDD, development tools and practices and constantly search for opportunities to help the team become more productive
  • You will be effective at summarising complex problems and presenting recommendations to fellow team members
 
Requirements:
  • Excellent knowledge of at least 2 backend languages such as Node.js/Python/Java/PHP
  • Expertise in HTML, CSS , Javascript and React
  • Mastery of SQL and NoSQL databases 
  • Prior experience developing secure, resilient and highly available solution architecture using AWS/Azure/GCP cloud.
  • Proficiency in CMS development using Wordpress and/or Drupal
