Finance Data Analyst - Insurance (£85,000) Home based
A leading UK insurer is looking for a Finance Data Analyst. Please note this role will start as a 12 month fixed term contract with potential to extend further. The company have offices in London and Birmingham however they are happy for people to work remotely.
The Finance Data Analyst will be responsible for:
- Developing an understanding of all financial data within the insurance firm in order to prepare requirements, data strategy and document flow
- Capture the route of financial data across the organisation and establish if it is right for the financial requirments
- Creating data dictionaries and mapping tables
- Linking data fields to business needs
- Preparing test objectives and scripts
- Supporting overall finance change modernisation projects
The Finance Data Analyst role is paying up to £85,000 plus bonus of up to 20%
To be considered suitable you will need to have the following:
- Accounting background and ideally educated to ACA/ACCA or CIMA level
- Experience within regulatory programmes such as IFRS, Solvency II and GDPR
- Agile experience
- Good knowledge of accounting functions and processes
- SQL and Microsoft Power Platform
- Ability to capture and document finance data flows
- Understanding of data architecture and quality
- Ability to develop data strategy and governance
- Data sourcing and ETL's
- Data API's / XML
- BI platforms - Qlikview/Crystal Reports
