The Ashdown Group have been engaged by a market-leading business, who is enjoying consistent growth and healthy profits, as they seek a qualified Divisional Financial Controller to lead a team in Leicester.
Following the recent growth, the challenge in this role is to provide support to the division's management team and Group FC, to make best use of the success to propel the business even further forward.
A suitable person for this role will be driven, but considered, with impeccable communication skills, be business and commercially focused and as confident building relationships and managing stakeholders as they are with day to day operations of the Finance Department. They will ideally have notable post-qualification experience in a similar role and be comfortable managing and developing a small team (6), split over 2 locations (Leicester and Bristol). There will also be a constant need to travel to London for Group meetings.
Working closely with the key stakeholders, this is a varied and hands on role. You will be responsible for management accounting and reporting, setting budgets and expenditure control, statutory reporting, including VAT and sales reports, cash and credit control, invoicing and supervision of purchase ledger and payments.
This is key role for the business and as such it is expected the incumbent will have excellent inter-personal skills, strong commercial acumen, with great attention to detail and numbers and comfortable in both a client facing capacity and business partnering key management within the business.

Due to the nature of the business, experience gained within an Group environment would be of benefit, as would experience from the Business intelligence or professional services industry. In addition, due to continued growth in the business, it is highly likely there will soon be an audit requirement for the business, as such any experience gained with auditing would be considered of benefit.
The successful candidate will be of graduate calibre, with ACCA or CIMA qualifications and demonstrable post qualification experience. They will be adept at Excel and SUN systems or Salesforce experience will be highly advantageous
