The Ashdown Group have been engaged by a global organisation, to assist them in their search for a Director of Data Operations.

 This role is hybrid working two days from the central London Office and three days from home.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Director of Data Operations is part of the senior leadership team, with full accountability for the content and data functions within the business. 

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that the business continues to provide market leading content in the most efficient and effective way possible, supporting the company growth strategy.  Working collaboratively with Head of Product and Technology, you'll develop and execute the content and product strategy.

 You will be responsible for owning the roadmap for the content portfolio, covering both technology and non-technology elements, and working in partnership with the Product and Technology teams to prioritise the overall development needs and backlog as well as ensuring the data offering is gold standard and meets client needs. You will drive the data and content strategy; including developing new data sets either organically or via partnership or acquisition.  Additionally managing and reviewing external outsourced providers of information, data, and services to achieve optimal inputs and outputs

As part of the senior leadership team , you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of 25 of which 4 will be direct reports. Mentoring and developing your teams through structured development plans.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful operational management in a complex B2B or B2B2C environment, preferably in a data or BI subscription business.  Experience in data integration and collection system design working with Agile development teams and experience with data governance and data modelling.

 You will need strong commercial awareness and experience of defining and delivering new content and data to meet evolving client needs.  Experienced delivering significant process improvements and developing a continuous improvement mindset in the team and comfortable pushing the boundaries, and challenging the status quo to get development.

Comfortable working with JIRA to manage projects and backlogs, analytical with an attention for detail and able to communicate the findings and needs from the research.

 The salary on offer is up to £128,000 and generous bonus and benefits package.
