A global insurance company are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join their UK team. This role will be based from their Central London office with the requirement to travel into the office at least a couple of times a month as a minimum.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large organisation who put technology at the centre of what they do. The focus of the role will be the automation of highly scalable and resilient cloud and on-premise operations in an enterprise environment. The successful candidate will require a proven background in the full SDLC covering design, development, testing, operations and infrastructure.
Day to day duties and responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the team with DevSecOps & AIOps mindset
- Consult and support teams to improve the end-end on-premise and cloud solutions
- Support tooling such as source control, package management, continuous integration, deployment and infrastructure provisioning and configuration
- Architecting, managing, deploying, and operating production infrastructure within an AWS/Azure cloud environment
- Promote continuous improvements throughout all aspects of the role
- Support, troubleshoot and provide hands-on technical expertise
To be considered suitable for this DevOps Engineer role you will need the following skills and experience:
- Solid DevSecOps understanding and background
- Strong understanding of application design, testing, development and architecture
- CI/CD tooling such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy, TeamCity & Artifactory
- Infrastructure as a Code tooling preferably Chef, Terraform & Packer
- Hypervisor technology preferably VMWare
- Kubernetes (Preferably Rancher & Portworx experience)
- Docker
- Linux
- Windows Server
- PowerShell and/or other scripting languages
- Fundamentals of software testing
- Load balancing such as Netscaler
