A large well–established organisation is looking for a proven Data Protection Officer with a passion for data privacy, data ethics and technology. This is a hybrid role: working from home approximately 3 days per week, and from their City, London office. This will initially be a 12-month fixed term contract covering maternity leave.
Reporting into the Data Protection Officer, the successful candidate will work across the wider data protection programme with a focus on setting up our process and governance framework for use of intelligent automation and, artificial intelligence applications and tools. The role will also involve embedding data protection by design and default into key technology process projects such as the new digital portal.
In order to be suitable for this role you must have significant experience as a Data Protection Professional, GDPR Officer, Compliance Specialist or similar data protection role in a fast-paced environment and ideally championing data privacy and ensuring technological innovation. It is essential to have a legal, policy or IT qualification with good knowledge of assessing privacy risks, designing and implementing data ethics frameworks as well as working on digital transformation projects. The ideal candidate will also have a privacy qualification (PDP, ISACA CDPSE, IAPP, CIPP/E), although this is not essential.

This Deputy Data Protection Officer role is paying a basic salary up to £67,000 plus benefits including a generous non-contributory pension.
