A fantastic opportunity has arisen for Senior/Lead Data Scientist to join an innovative International organisation.

 

This is a newly created role and a chance for the successful candidate to help shape and lead the implementation of data science across the organisation, this will include AI and machine learning. You'll be putting in place methodologies, tooling and help build out the data science team.

 

As a data driven organisation they have focussed the purpose of the role to include the key responsibilities:

 Leading the development of the data science practice including people, methodologies, tools and technical environments.

Analysing, organising and preparing raw data for modelling and data analytics.

Evaluating business needs & objectives and work with senior business stakeholders to define & deliver projects.

Application of AI and ML techniques to solve business problems and produce saleable insights.

Identifying opportunities for data acquisition.

Assist in the development of new products and tools

Participating in the development of analytical reports, including conducting analysis, applying data science techniques, summarising data and interpretation of results.

Collaborating with team departments to deliver data products.

Desired experience includes:

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects meeting time constraints.

Excellent data modelling skills and knowledge of ETL processes.

Good programming skills – specifically those used in data science, e.g. SQL, R, Python, JavaScript.

Experience of the .Net programming stack of technologies.

Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills as well as  excellent numerical, analytical and statistics skills.

Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics.

Experience in utilising a variety of integration methods to extract and load data from 3rd party sources.

Intermediate to advanced Tableau or Power BI skills and any experience  working with Snowflake would be highly advantageous.

 

You'll be comfortable presenting data and insights to stakeholders and enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
