A highly successful multinational telecoms firm is looking for an experienced Data Centre IP Engineer to join its growing technology team, based in the docklands area of London.
In this role you will support the on-prem data centre environment and must be willing to visit and maintain physical data centres in London. You will administer, support and maintain all physical and virtual Cisco appliances and will frequently be involved in troubleshooting exercises across a large multi-platform network.
In order to be suitable for this role you must be an accomplished Network Engineer with proven Cisco ACI experience. You will have proven experience of successfully managing on-premise environments and physical data centres, coupled with excellent Cisco routing and switching skills. You must also have demonstrable expertise with security devices, ideally Cisco ASA or Cisco Nexus. It is also mandatory to be Cisco certified (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE).
In this diverse and hands-on role, you will play a key role in the support, maintenance, and development of the firm’s global network infrastructure. This includes all elements of external and internal network security, fault resolution, troubleshooting, network expansion, design, system monitoring and general support.
The successful candidate will also gain exposure to large scale cloud infrastructure, therefore any prior experience with Azure/AWS would be advantageous but is by no means essential.
