A large well–established organisation is looking for a proven Data Analyst to develop and support Data Governance across all functions. This is a hybrid role both working from home, approximately 3 days per week, and from their City, London office.
The principal purpose of this Data Analyst role is to ensure the organisation has high quality data to drive data-driven decisions with confidence. Duties will include:

Investigating reported data quality issues, identifying root causes and proposing solutions

Understanding lifecycle from data capture to end user reporting

Supporting data governance, such as GDPR

Ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed of data issues and initiatives

Assisting with data cleansing activities to support data migrations for new systems

Progressing in the use of the data quality tool

Ensuring SQL queries are as efficient as possible
In order to be suitable for this role you must have significant experience as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, DBA / Database Administrator, ETL Specialist or similar role with a hands-on approach to data / data quality. It is essential to have strong Excel (formulas, Vlookups or hlookups) and SQL (select / logic statements and pulling out tables / joins) skills. This role would suit a hands-on analyst with a proactive approach to investigating issues and making improvements. Any experience with data quality tools (Datactic, Cloudingo, Openrefine, Informatica, Infosphere, Trillium, Talend, or Data Ladder) will be considered highly beneficial, but are not essential.
