Over the course of an 8-week term, the client is seeking a specialist in data purchases and licencing to review all existing vendor and supplier contracts, with a focus on security and business continuity. First, you will be expected to establish the contractual position for each data supplier and make recommendations for changes or improvements to be made, prior to handing the relationship management phase to the commercial team. Further, you will create a definitive list of all data supply relationships and document the technical and operational nature of each one.
You will be expected to bring visibility, structure, control and best practise to bear in how the organisation manages vendors, assets and data through commercial arrangements and the contract life-cycle. You will need to be able to analyse data contracts content and articulate the meaning of terms and conditions to an array of audiences. Part of the contract will include educating the existing team on data licencing best practice.
