An exciting opportunity for an accomplished Commercial Director has arisen to join a people-focused business that specialises in sourcing and securing outstanding public speakers for events with multinational clients. The office is based in St. Albans; however, the organisation embraces flexible working and offers the opportunity to work from home 3 days per week. This role will include travel to the US headquarters based in Washington, DC twice a year and occasional travel across Europe for relationship-building purposes.
Within this role of significant responsibility, you will be accountable for the UK-based operations, including strategy and growth in alignment with the business vision and goals. Alongside this you will be responsible for developing new partnerships, ensuring an excellent service to both speakers and clients, overseeing the speaker selection and booking process, and expanding the company’s speaker network and client base by recruiting new talent and identifying growth opportunities. Reporting directly to the President/CEO of the firm, you will execute the company’s business plan and ensure sales targets are met as well as analysing sales data.
To be suitable for this position, ideally, you will have proven experience in a senior management position within a speaker bureau or similar entertainment/talent/events organisation paired with excellent leadership skills. You will have the ability to manage and motivate individuals while creating favorable conditions for the tight-knit UK team to have sales success. Contract and fee negotiation experience, problem-solving skills, and strong speaker industry/market trend knowledge is a prerequisite for this role. You will have exquisite communication skills and the capability to build meaningful long-lasting business relationships.
The base salary on offer for this position is up to £100,000 per annum depending on experience with an additional generous commission and bonus structure attached.
