The Earthshot Prize is a not-for-profit start-up which currently sits within The Royal Foundation and will spin out to become an affiliated independent organisation in 2022. 

The Earthshot Prize aims to be the most prestigious global environment prize in history, designed to incentivise change and help repair our planet over the next ten years. Our mission is to unleash urgent optimism and action through storytelling and spotlighting eco-innovators around the world, and to accelerate & scale their eco-innovations to repair and regenerate our planet. We’re a collaborative platform of partnerships all united in moving with speed, and at scale in this decisive decade.

With partnerships so central to our strategy, The Earthshot Prize (TEP) is now seeking a Chief Partnership & Development Officer (CPDO) to lead, guide and steward our transformative partnerships which range from The Earthshot Prize’s founding partners to our Global Alliance of partners from the Corporate, Philanthropy, and NGO Sectors across the globe. The CPDO will lead in co-creating robust strategic partnership plans with the Global Alliance which lead to clearly defined shared objectives and powerful impacts.

For this role you must be a strategic, innovative, and entrepreneurial relationship builder with outstanding networking, communications and influencing skills. You will be naturally collaborative and combine intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and vision, with a willingness to personally deliver strategic initiatives. You will have a proven track record of securing funding for the public good and will be recognised for your ingenuity, energy, sound judgement, and ability to bring people together and build exceptional user-centric customer journeys. You’ll have leadership experience of fundraising, and understand the importance of transparency, rigor, integrity and reporting as foundation stones for trust and longevity of partnerships. 

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead and be accountable for the Funding strategy to underpin the operations of The Earthshot Prize. Providing inspirational leadership to a high-performing team you will develop and strengthen strategic, collaborative and funding relationships with institutions, foundations, corporate partners, and non-governmental agencies. You’ll nurture and build an eco-system of Global Alliance partnerships to maximise the range of opportunity, collaboration, and funding to support eco-innovators finalists directly or indirectly.

Comfortable engaging directly with the C-Suite of global corporations and NGO’s, you will lead in building long-term partnerships that deliver tangible benefits for eco-innovators, our partners and The Earthshot Prize.
