Billing Specialist - £38,000 – Hybrid working

A highly successful and rapidly growing global business offering great remote working options are looking for a personable, driven Accounts Receivable Clerk or Billing Analyst to joint their finance team. The purpose of the role is to manage the end-to-end billing and collection processes for services delivered under the contacted Statement of Works (SOW). It is a B2B role where you will be responsible for billing clients and collecting payments for outstanding invoices. 

The ideal candidate will have previously worked across accounts receivable or within a similar Account Assistant or Finance Assistant role.  The main focus will be to raise invoices in a timely and accurate manner to facilitate on time collections.  You will provide proactive input into the contracting process to improve and facilitate efficient and timely billing and conversion to cash and maintain a detailed client profile documentation including key information such as contact, escalations, internal billing and payment processes etc.

As the Accounts Receivable Clerk you will maintain the billing schedule to provide transparency on billing status for each project and you will work with the Finance team to reduce the time taken to convert unbilled revenue addressing underlying issues proactively.  In addition, you will post client receipts in a timely and accurate manner such that bank reconciliations and debtor position remains current and will have responsibility for the aged debtor ledger.

To be suitable for this Accounts Assistant role you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.  You will be highly organised and detail-oriented with an ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.  Ideally, you will have B2B billing/collection experience and a knowledge of accounting software and ledger reconciliations.
