A leading multinational organisation is looking for a personable and articulate Power BI Developer to join its team based in Putney, south west London. The firm embraces hybrid and flexible working and provides the opportunity to work remotely 4 days per week (you will need to work in the office on either a Monday or Tuesday). Please note that this will be for an initial 12-month contract, with possibility of extension.
In order to be suitable for this role, you must be an expert with Power BI and SQL and have proven commercial experience of creating, building and optimising data visualisations and dashboards. You will possess excellent troubleshooting, problem solving and critical thinking skills, and will work closely with the business to understand requirements and then recommend and create highly effective solutions. In addition to advanced skills with SQL and Power BI (DAX and Tabular Models), it would be advantageous to have experience with data services in Azure including Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Analysis Services and Data Lake Analytics.
Working closely with a sizeable team of data engineers, database developers, software developers, and data analysts, the successful candidate will define and build modern cloud based solutions that will enable faster, better, data-informed decision-making within the business and support data-driven activities. A primary responsibility for this role will be the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of data visualisations including reporting and dashboards, particularly using Power BI.
