Assistant Financial Accountant - Hybrid working
Are you a part qualified Assistant Accountant looking to develop your career? Our client a private equity funded company are recruiting for an ambitious Accounts professional to join their busy Finance team. You will be studying for your ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications and have experience in end to end Accounting. The position is offered with hybrid working with two days working remotely and three days based at their Wimbledon based offices. There is a study support package as well as a performance bonus.
The Assistant Financial Accountant will report directly to the Finance Controller and oversee the work of an Accounts Assistant. You will be heavily involved in the preparation of the month end process so must be confident with end-to-end accounting in addition to the transactional accounts function. The successful candidate must have experience with balance sheet reconciliation, P&L statements, accruals and prepayments, journal postings and maintaining the Fixed Asset register. There will be a strong focus on producing regular cash flow forecasting and budgetary reports. In addition you will be producing VAT returns, responsible for bank reconciliation and overseeing the Sales & Purchase ledger function along with Credit Control.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about their work, driven, with a strong focus to succeed. As well as being partly ACA/ACCA qualified and working towards completing your qualification you will have:
Previous experience with end-to-end Accounting
Management of Cashflow forecasting
Confident with month end processes
Knowledge of Sage 200 & advanced Excel skills
Able to work accurately to tight deadlines
Highly organised with a great eye for detail
A critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
The role comes with a salary of up to £43,000 plus benefits including pension, quarterly and monthly bonus scheme and study support. The role is hybrid based with two days a week working remotely.
