Our client, a cutting-edge software company who provide innovative solutions to an international customer base is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Management Accountant to join their well-established team. The role is offered with flexible working and based in the company’s offices within easy reach of Kingston, Twickenham and Richmond.
As an Assistant Accountant /Management Accountant you will play a crucial role in the company’s financial operations. Reporting to the CFO you will ensure accurate preparation of end-to-end management accounts as well as transactional duties and timely reporting of complex multicurrency accounts. Due to the nature of the work you will not be processing high volumes of work but rather dealing with complex transactions which will draw on your problem solving skills. This position would suit someone who is comfortable working for a small organisation and offers an excellent opportunity to work in a close knit and informal culture.
The main duties will be to produce monthly management accounts in the required format, including raising journals and reconciling control accounts, Assist the CFO to produce annual accounts, including profit and loss account and balance sheet. On a daily basis, prepare sales invoices in liaison with the sales team and manage customer receipts in multiple currencies. Manage the Credit Control function, including monitoring overdue balances. Process staff expenses, prepare bank reconciliation for multi-currency accounts. Liaise with payroll companies in UK and overseas, prepare and post journals for contracts in Europe. Produce and submit quarterly VAT returns.
The ideal candidate will be –
Must be qualified or part qualified in CIMA or ACCA
Proven experience in a Management Accountant or similar role
Previous exposure of dealing with multicurrency accounts and high value transactions.
Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and international accounting standards.
Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel, a good knowledge of QB Online and Salesforce is desirable.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently and in a team environment.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
