A global law firm is seeking an Applications Developer. The firm has an extensive web presence that spans different areas such as informative, client collaboration, product development and internal productivity. This is a newly created role, and there are lots of exciting projects coming up which the role-holder will spearhead.

The role is hybrid and working hours can be flexible, typically 3 days a week you'll work in the central London office and 2 days you'll work from home. The role is paying a maximum salary of £65,000 per annum and offers amazing benefits like 28 days holiday and a discretionary annual bonus.

The main duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Developing new, and maintain existing, application features and functionalities across our client facing web applications and the entire technology stack
  • Building integrations for 3rd party applications
  • Write code that is secure, reusable and solves a problem
  • Anticipate, identify, and articulate problems
  • Work with others to devise solutions and application design
  • Implement solutions for scale, complexity, security and fault tolerance
  • Facilitate software development with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Follow established software development guidelines and best-practices throughout the development life-cycle
  • Work with a high degree of independence on projects, contributing to design, testing and implementation
  • Communicate effectively with non-technical business owners

 

Key Skills:

  • Working knowledge of ASP.NET/C# development language
  • .NET Frameworks 4.0/4.7+ and .Net Core
  • Experience with the Agile software development methodology
  • Working knowledge of object-oriented design patterns and how to effectively apply them
  • A strong grasp of web architecture, implementations and the relationship between client-side and server-side
  • HTML/HTML5, CSS, Javascript (DOM), AJAX
  • Frameworks/libraries jQuery/Bootstrap; experience with Knockout, Angular, or React can be substituted
  • Working knowledge of IIS web server
  • Experience with relational database MSSQL; Proficient use of Transact-SQL
  • Web service development and use with both REST and SOAP
  • Strong understanding of XML, XSL, XPath
  • Proficiency in Visual Studio or a similar IDE
  • Experience with source code control tools for Git
  • Ability to develop web responsive applications targeting multiple device sizes.
  • Experience with Google Analytics and implementing custom variables and metrics
