An award winning IT business, developing enterprise world leading software solutions is looking for an additional Application Support person to join their team, in a great hybrid working environment.
Reporting into the Application Support Manager, you will be supporting clients, troubleshooting incidents, being involved with project deployment, client training, client upgrades and installations. Having a background in working with bespoke software, will allow you to use this experience to gain working expertise across the application and how it interacts with 3rd party applications, becoming familiar with the application's underlying data structures and looking at how to identify and resolve data related and application related problems, alongside more straight forward 1st line issues.
To secure the role you must have:
- Experience of software support
- Experience of bespoke applications
- Experience of SQL
- Networking experience and understanding of 3-tier architecture
- Understanding of API's and Web Services support
- Good scripting skills and understanding of Microsoft Windows
Any experience working with Citrix, remote servers or Service Desk tools such as Jira / Service Now, would be considered advantageous.
There is also an on-call rota. The probability of receiving a call is low, but remuneration just for being on this rota is very attractive - at least an additional £3500 pa plus more if you actually take a support call whilst on-call. ( on call rota currently sits at 1 week in 4)
In return for your commitment to this role and the business, you receive a competitive salary of up to £35,000 + circa £3,500 on call, bonus, private healthcare, mentorship/L&D programme and pension. The business also offers great flexibility and you only have to be on site for 2 days per week. The rest can be worked remotely.
