A lovely accountants assistant role working within the arts for a global gallery who have a very familial and collaborative environment with beautiful offices based in the heart of London.
The Accountant Assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with month-end processes. The successful candidate will work closely with the finance team to ensure the smooth running of the sales ledger, purchase ledger, and other accounting tasks as required.
Responsibilities include maintaining the sales ledger, including invoicing, credit notes, refunds, and payment allocation. Respond to invoice queries and provide copy invoices, reconcile the sales ledger monthly, check purchase invoices and liaise with suppliers to resolve issues. Enter invoices onto the system once approved and staff expenses onto the finance system, ensuring adherence to policy. Pay off invoices on the system and reconcile supplier statements, assist with month-end processes, including preparing journals, perform other ad hoc tasks to assist the finance team as required and learn and develop within the finance function
To be suitable for this role you will need previous experience in an accounting role
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 360 is desirable but not essential
Excellent written and verbal communication skills alongside strong organizational and prioritization skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
