A well-established organisation is looking for a personable and driven 1st Line Technical Support Engineer to join its team, based in Bedford. Please note, the successful candidate will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a car as, as part of their training, they will spend some time visiting client sites shadowing an engineer, as well as regular travelling to the Bedford offices.
Within this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email. You will walk customers through the problem-solving process and direct any unresolved issues to the Level 2 support engineers. You will perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions, and create break/fix cases, record actions, problems, and their resolution in the service system.
This role would best-suit candidates that are educated to A-Level or BTEC level; ideally within an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline, who desire to increase their engineering knowledge. You will be a self-starter and possess excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills. Any prior experience with Salesforce or Service Cloud would be advantageous to your application.
